Data Scientist |
Calgary, AB |
- Acoustics and leak detection lead; refactored all processing and analysis from the ground up in Python to simplify leak detection and air pocket survey reporting.
- Key contributor to DevOps-centric processes within the Data Science code development; aided in performing code reviews, releasing internal applications, and troubleshooting development build tooling.
- Rebuilt pipeline distance mapping application implementing a model-view-controller (MVC) paradigm for modular testing.
- Performed acoustic, deposits, and magnetic surveys of gathered sensor data aligning pipeline information (joints, elevation, etc) to map the survey features to GIS pipeline coordinates.
- Lead in leak detection field study performed at CTDUT pipeline facility outside Rio de Janeiro Brazil.
AeroLab Technology |
Nov 2019 - Present |
Research and Development Engineer |
Calgary, AB |
- Lead in all aspects of research and development pertaining to AeroLab’s technologies and engineering contracts. Key contributor towards prototype conceptualization while quantifying product requirements for design and manufacturing in conjunction with business and marketing.
- Program, tune, and maintain all algorithm development from field data (pitot pressure, barometric, IMU, and GPS) to improve sensor and cloud performance in a python environment. Challenging datasets are observed frequently providing continual use-cases for design and unit-testing.
- Designed and manufactured a wind tunnel testing facility with peripheral apparatus to calibrate and verify sensor integrity of all production sensors accounting for non-linear effects.
- Engineering lead for the final phase of product testing with Zipp Ltd, which included field-data acquisition, post-test analysis, and a written formal report outlining the aerodynamic and rolling efficiency of six models of premium cycling wheels.
- Took on lead role for iOS and web development improving upon and maintaining company’s software suite while acting as a project manager and supervisor to a software development team at the University of Calgary for iOS and web UI design.
- Writing and communication; engineering reports, technical contracts/project proposals, user-friendly and internal documentation (GitHub), and marketing (instagram and web posts).
